T-Mobile became the second-largest mobile operator in the U.S., with more than 100 million subscribers, after the completion of its merger with Sprint in 2020. The deal was the largest industry transaction in mobile history, involving millions of retail customers and a complicated migration on the wholesale side, which had hundreds of partners and rapid growth. After the merger, the number events processed daily by T-Mobile’s Wholesale division rose from about 890 million per day to 1.5 billion and growth trajectory was 25%. T-Mobile needed a new approach to working with and supporting partners, and other aspects of its business, which consists of MVNOs and IoT players.

T-Mobile selected Netcracker as a partner post-merger to consolidate the Wholesale lines of business onto a single converged BSS platform. The solution centered on Netcracker Digital BSS, Netcracker Partner Management and Netcracker Managed Services to provide a single platform for billing, partner management and other functions to deliver the same or better experience for its partners and those coming under the T-Mobile banner post-merger.
